RESUME OF BIII DIRECTOR AND CHIEF INSTRUCTOR

Professor William A. Springer, P.E.

Prof. Springer is a graduate of Tulane University where he majored in engineering and has been a licensed professional engineer for over 35 years.  His building inspection business began in the early 1980’s and he has since personally evaluated over 5,000 homes, multiple dwellings, commercial and industrial properties.  As the creator of an established multi-inspector inspection business, he was instrumental in developing residential, commercial, condominiums, multiple dwellings and commercial property inspection programs, including staff supervision, physical inspection, report presentations, expert witness testimony, and relocation inspection services programs, among others.

In addition to serving as a Louisiana ASHI Chapter founder, director, and Instructor, Professor Springer current endeavors include the development and implementations of new technical training programs, support materials and technical publications.  He has been an active member of the American Society of Home Inspectors since 1993 and has practiced as a Residential and Commercial Building Inspector in Louisiana and Mississippi for over 20 years.  He actively promoted and served on the Louisiana Home Inspectors License Law Committee for its 1999 Legislative enactment.
